Homemade Granola

I'm trying really hard to eliminate a lot of the processed foods in my diet - who knew it would be so hard? I love eating granola with my lowfat vanilla yogurt and berries in the morning but most of the granola options in the store have so much stuff that I can't even name it's ridiculous. At the farmer's market there are some great all natural options but it can get pricey at $5/lb. Thankfully, I have a wonderful grocery store nearby that offers a lot of bulk whole grains, oats, flour, nuts, etc. I spotted this recipe for granola on Orangette and decided it was time to make my own.

All I have to say is I'll be saving a lot of money on granola! This stuff is SO good - especially topping my favorite yogurt with some fresh berries. Try it for yourself, you won't regret it!

That bowl does look good and healthy. I've seen a few make-your-own granola recipes about.

That looks like such a nutritious and delicious breakfast. I love the addition of the blueberries. Even more antioxidants to the already healthy bowl full.

Hubby would love this too!

I have to make some! I love granola with yogurt. Haven't had it in a long time.

That looks perfect. I can see why you won't be spending out on shop-bought stuff ever again...

I am sadly not a great breakfast eater, but this would be a nice substantial lunch for me, thx

Making your own granola is great, and so much healthier. If you don't like it for breakfast (not much of a breakfast eater myself) it's great for a healthy snack, too!
